After a bit of a break, we are back with development of new features! It’s been a heck of a last few weeks in the Defi Kingdoms world. JEWEL has taken a beating, dropping as low as $1.26, but as of today, is trending back up towards $2.06. Much of it was due to:
- The locked jewel mining exploit that was voted to be fixed a few months ago but was not until recently.
- Speculation around Frisky Fox’s involvement with LootSwap prior to DFK, an initial investor “friend”, and the large amount of JEWEL being profited.
- FriskyFox addressed the LootSwap situation here, and the team held an AMA to address the matter.
Things seem to have stabilized for now and hopefully everyone can be focused on building and creating.
Now onto the cool stuff! We’ve spent a considerable amount of effort getting these things in place, hope you find them useful!
New Features
Premium Membership ⭐️
Ongoing development and support of DFKing requires time, effort, and money and we want to continue to bring cool useful features to the community! We’ve therefore decided to roll out a premium membership where more advanced tools are available. Basic site functionality will still be free for everyone to use!
Newer features require more infrastructure, operational, and development cost and this will help fund those efforts. The initial price will be 5 JEWELs for a 30 day membership. At the time of writing, this equates to around $10 total per month. We’ve built a cool mechanism to use wallet authentication instead of username/pw to login. That means membership is tied to the wallet address that you’ve connected with and made payments from. You can check your membership status on the new Member page.
All this was significant brand new development so please do reach out if you run into issues and we’ll do our best to support and address the issues.
Now onto the new features!
Custom Search Presets
This is the most exciting! You can now create your own custom search presets and save them for re-use. The days of constantly re-clicking these parameters are gone! These same search presets apply to heroes for sale, for rent, and Auctioneer real-time monitoring – very cool! There is a limit of 10 custom presets per membership. You can create and delete with the + and – sign right next to the Presets.
And they show up with a ⭐️ in the presets dropdown.
Skills Search Filters
Skills search filters for all heroes for sale, for rent, and Auctioneer real-time monitoring. Dominant traits are available for everyone while recessives are for premium members only. All these traits to manage – luckily you have the customs presets feature above 🙂 ! In the future we’ll look to improve some of the user interface as well to make it more manageable.
All dominant traits are searchable by everyone. Recessive (R1, R2, R3) skills are part of premium membership.
